Born in Madrid in 1966, graduated in Medicine and Veterinary Public Health and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Since 2003 University Professor in the Animal Production Area in the School of Agricultural Engineering of Albacete. Also attached to the Joint Institute (UCLM, CSIC, JCCM), and the Cinegetic Resources Research (IREC) since its inception in 1999, having been Deputy Director (1999-2003) and its director (2003-2004).

Academician of the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences, is an advisor to the Committee of Mechanical Technology and Production of the National Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI), among other responsibilities.
His career as a researcher has focused on the study of various aspects of biology and Sperm Cryobiology. As a result of his research activity, many publications have been originated as well as participation in national and international conferences. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Animal Breeding and is nowadays the Research Group responsible for Reproductive Biology in UCLM. Since 1997 he has been the head investigator of projects funded by national agencies such as the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the INIA, among others. He has three six-year research periods recognized.

In the field of university management, was secretary and deputy director of the School of Agricultural Engineering of Albacete. Currently, coordinates the doctoral program in Basic and Applied Research Cinegetic Resources.
